Pennsylvania State Police are trying to find an arsonist who “induced a big quantity of injury” to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s official residence in Harrisburg.
In a press release posted to social media, Shapiro wrote that his household was woken up at 2 a.m. on Sunday by banging on the door from state police. He added that he and his spouse, Lori, have been “eternally grateful” for authorities who helped evacuate the household.
“Thank God nobody was injured and the fireplace was extinguished,” Shapiro wrote. “Daily, we stand with the regulation enforcement and first responders who run in the direction of hazard to guard our communities.”
