The Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL) has mentioned that India’s plastics exports have grown from $15.5 million in 1955-56 to over $11.5 billion in 2023-24. PLEXCONCIL was established on July 15, 1955, by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Trade.
