Shares of Hybe, South Korea’s main Ok-pop company, fell almost 5 per cent on Friday morning as its standard idol group NewJeans plans to interrupt up with the music powerhouse in a transfer that might spark a authorized dispute.
The band stated on Thursday night time that they’ll finish their unique contract with Ador, an affiliate of Hybe, as a result of administration company’s alleged breach of contract. The contract was speculated to endure till 2029.
The choice comes after months-long disputes between Min Hee-jin, the producer of the idol group and the previous chief govt of Ador, and Hybe, who accused Min of making an attempt to grab management of the label.
Min has denied the accusations and Ador stated there was no breach of contract.
